چکیده

In this article, the working mechanism of a wideband absorber designed with an adjustable and highly selective notch band is studied, in which narrow independently controlled by lower lossless layer absorber, whereas upper lossy loaded lumped resistors realizes absorption. We present two instances geometrically electrically bands, respectively. Without decreasing absorption performance, position can be flexibly adjusted throughout entire frequency simply modifying dimension frequency-selective surface (FSS) or changing capacitance varactor, i.e., using geometric control electrical control. The allows wide bands to retained on both sides; therefore, good stealth performance still guaranteed. Equivalent circuit models (ECMs) are proposed further explain principle. frequency-domain simulation, ECM, time-domain experimental results agreement validate adjustability high selectivity notched absorbers. At end FSA-backed monopole antenna simulated measured, clearly illustrates that these FSAs serve as ground plane for antennas realize out-of-band RCS reduction.

New UWB Shielding with Frequency Selective Surfaces

In this paper a Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) as a UWB electromagnetic shield is introduced. The proposed FSS comprises a quasi-J.C-Jerusalem Cross- and a copper ring, which are located at both sides of a FR4 substrate and can represent a S.E -Shielding Effectiveness- better than 20dB in 90% bandwidth of Ultra Wide Band frequency. This structure is compact and thin. Each cell comprises J.C ...

Highly selective terahertz optical frequency comb generator.

Using a 10.5-GHz resonant electro-optic modulator placed inside a resonant optical cavity, we generated an optical frequency comb with a span wider than 3 THz. The optical resonator consists of three mirrors, with the output coupler being a thin Fabry-Perot cavity with a free spectral range of 2 THz and a finesse of 400. Tuning this filter cavity onto resonance with a particular high-order side...

Selective Solar Absorber Materials: Nanostructured Surfaces

Current solar to thermal energy conversion technologies, including concentrated solar power (CSP) and solar water heaters (SWH) utilize absorber surfaces that collect incident solar radiation. However, these absorber surfaces emit thermal energy (at their temperature) in the infrared (IR) spectrum, resulting in decreased overall efficiency for solar-to-thermal conversion. Selective absorber sur...

Platinum-Based High Temperature Selective Absorber Coatings

In photothermal energy conversion the absorbed solar flux is converted to heat which is then used directly or is converted to mechanical or electrical energy. Efficient receiver design requires that thermal losses from the absorber surface, which is the hottest element of the system, be minimised. Receivers are, in fact, generally classified according to their operating temperature ( I , 2). Th...
